Chase founded Robot on Rails to remove the physical bottlenecks holding back scientific discovery. He is passionate about delivering innovative technology to accelerate research and drive meaningful impact. Before RoR, he built the robots behind Mytide's fully automated peptide manufacturing platform and designed precision metrology equipment at Adcole for GM, Ford and Toyota. Chase holds several patents spanning advanced manufacturing, precision sensing, and industrial device design, along with dual MIT degrees (MEng Manufacturing, BS Mechanical Engineering).

Nitin leads the development of computer-vision and robotic-perception systems at Robot on Rails. His work combines deep learning, 3D vision, multi-camera calibration, object tracking, and robot–camera coordination to enable reliable object detection, localization, picking, and manipulation in automated laboratories. Previously, he developed medical-imaging and CT technologies at Analogic and conducted research at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Monash University.

Azadeh (Azi) Samadian is the Head of AI, Data & Cloud Infrastructure at Robot on Rails, where she develops AI-powered robotic systems by combining large language models, simulation, and cloud infrastructure. She works across AI, robotics, and software engineering to build scalable automation platforms for real-world applications. Before joining Robot on Rails, Azi held engineering roles at Verizon, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Citi, where she built cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, data platforms, and AI-driven solutions. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Anupama leads the scientific architecture behind Robot on Rails' automated protocols and assay development. Her work combines microbial and mammalian cell culture, biologics and industrial biotechnology, molecular biology, analytical characterization, chromatography, and spectroscopy to translate bench science into reproducible, scalable robotic execution — bridging biology and automation to improve reproducibility, operational efficiency, and throughput in the laboratory. Previously, she was a Scientist at NovoNutrients and conducted research at IIT Madras, Stanford University School of Medicine, and San José State University, spanning both research and commercial environments. She holds an M.Tech. in Industrial Biotechnology from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK).
